Memorabilia

Genealogy Notebook

This old book (just smaller than 5” X 8”) was one of Torleif’s first genealogy books wherein he wrote the names and significant dates of family members and ancestors.  There are a few blank pages separating sections of pages with the family information.  Maybe these are different family groups.  There are check marks next-to and through most of the entries, perhaps indicating that he had transferred the information to another book or to family group sheets.  We think the book is from around 1902, after his baptism and before he immigrated to America.  In his journal he talks how special this book is to him – he was concerned for its safety.
